Wisconsin Sales Tax Exemption Guidelines

I would like to ship my order to a Wisconsin address. Why is my order being taxed?

As of March 21, 2024, Governor Tony Evers signed Wisconsin Act 149, creating a sales tax exemption for precious metal bullion. The Act defines "precious metal bullion" as coins, bars, rounds, or sheets that:

  • Contain at least 35% gold, silver, copper, platinum, or palladium.
  • Are marked with weight, purity, and content, or are minted by a government authority based on these factors.

This exemption does not apply to other items containing precious metal bullion, such as jewelry, works of art, scrap metal, or electronics.

To qualify for this exemption, Silver Gold Bull requires a completed Wisconsin Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate.

  • View and complete the certificate: CLICK HERE
  • Submit the completed form: Email it to payment@silvergoldbull.com.
